We acknowledge that we are gathered in amiskwaciwâskahikan (colonially known as Edmonton), in Treaty 6 Territory and Metis Region 4. We would like to thank the land and the many diverse Indigenous Peoples such as nêhiyaw, Dene, Blackfoot, Anishinaabe, Metis, Haudenosaunee, Nakota Sioux, and Niitsitapi peoples whose ancestors have called this place home for centuries.
